Winners of the biggest European prog magazine "The Progspace" for EP of the year 2025

Signed in Dutch label Layered Reality Productions, Seventh Station is an multinational progressive/experimental metal entity, With three records under their belt, influenced by 20th Century contemporary classical music as well as bands such as King Crimson and Frank Zappa, Seventh Station is bringing to the stage a virtuous combination of colors with over the top virtuosity as a medium of expressing aggression, panic, surrealism and kafkaesque themes.

Following the release of their ambitious new record, On Shoulders of Giants (February 2025, released by Dutch label Layered Reality Productions), a concept-driven work blending progressive metal contemporary classical music of the 20th century, explores the legacy of thinkers and revolutionaries who shaped the modern world of music. Its dense compositions and philosophical depth received critical praise across Europe’s progressive music scene and led to a tour and several festival appearances across Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Balkans, performing at renowned venues and festivals, including HRH PROG UK with Asia and Focus, Art Rock Germany with Vanden Plas and Arthur Brown, Spike music showcase in Bulgaria and many more as well as performed in legendary venues such as The Underworld (London, together with Imperial Age). These performances solidified Seventh Station's status as a compelling progressive act emerging from the post Yugoslavia area and the Middle East, offering audiences a powerful live experience that combines musical virtuosity with a message of cultural dialogue and resistance.

During their last two records (Heal the Unhealed, On Shoulders of Giants) the band was featured in worldwide magazines from the US to Japan and was especially recognized by British Magazine “Prog” as an act worthy of following after. The band also appeared in outlets such as Loudwire, Hard Rock, Metalized and many others.

Seventh Station is led by composer and guitarist Dmitri Alperovich and consists of progressive metal artists such as Keyboardist Eren Basbug (mostly known for his conduction and arrangement works with Dream Theater & Jordan Rudess) Vocalist Vidi Dolev (Subterranean Masquerade), Drummer Grega Plumberger (Cordura) and bassist Alexy Polyansky. Their albums are produced in collaboration with Slovenian Sound Engineer Matej Gobec (Laibach).
